Too much! Now they're twirling their mustaches.
After claiming victimization for herself, this idiot is now hitting up the POC fans she insulted to work on her e-zine! Un-fucking-believable! This is an over the top display of privilege and if you want to know what racism looks like, that is it.

	Correct me if I'm wrong, but have six or seven white fans just decided they're going to start up an e-zine that's going to be all about "diversity in e-fiction", because this will mean they're doing something...? Or have I just missed something? (Reply to this) (Thread)

Yup. Apparently, the doofus I linked to has an ongoing e-zine. Bear just commented she's in, though she still hasn't gotten back to stating any reflection or apologies for how Willow got treated by her supporters on her LJ, which is all I needed to see to unsub from her fiction LJ, And editors at Tor are the doofus's friends as well, so she does have those connections, which she is trying to dangle as lures, the way corrupt bastards do.

No, it's not infrequent, it's just publishers, writers, and fans all together showing their assses as racistly as possible. But the tangling of privileged entry here while still throwing insults--"get involved instead of just bitching" is just more nasty fail than I've seen previously. It's Seal Press combined with fandom wank.

Infuriated. This is just plain evil.

I'm gobsmacked. Not so much by the TPE "start your own 'zine, and get involved that way" racist, but by Elizabeth Bear, of all people, who did seem to have been paying attention, announcing she'd be "happy to participate".

I shouldn't be, but I am. It's really... yeah. If you imagine I'm just going "What? What? What?" in increasingly strained tones of disbelief/shock/etcetera - kind of Time Lord Sees Titanic Bust Through TARDIS Wall - that's about it.
